    Covid-19 Safety Protocols

    We look forward to welcoming you back to an in-person Summit experience this year! Our goal is to create a comfortable, safe and productive event, and to give attendees peace of mind and confidence that we are working to keep our Community healthy.

    With our Ed-Fi Community in mind, we have put the following risk mitigation processes in place:


    • Ed-Fi Alliance has opted for the safest approach when it comes to Summit being held in-person.

      • We are asking everyone to complete a COVID-19 test and show proof of the negative test (taken no more than 72 hours in advance) to gain entry into the conference
      • Even if you were exposed, you are not contagious for 3 days after exposure - which is the reason for the 72 hour requirement. 
      • Acceptable forms of the test can be the simple at-home test that is widely available at any pharmacy or a professionally-administered test through the pharmacy or doctor’s office.
      • You can bring in a print out of the results or a picture of the results, signed, and dated.
      • We also expect that our attendees will self-monitor and will not attend if they have symptoms of any illness.

    • Ed-Fi will offer a full refund on your Summit ticket price, should you fall ill or need to quarantine before the Summit. 

    • Hotel reservations can be cancelled at no charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled arrival.  

    • Masks will be required while indoors at the Summit.  

    • We have added more outdoor meeting and working space for attendees to take advantage of while at the Summit. 

    • All breakout and general sessions rooms will only offer seating at half of the allowable capacity to allow plenty of space for social distancing. 




    The Summit will be held at the Hyatt Regency, and they have put the following protocols in place: 

    • Hand sanitizing stations at hotel entrances as well as at each food/beverage station.  

    • Additional pump sanitizers at water stations.  

    • Disposable cups for water stations. 

    • For meals offered in the buffet format, cold buffet items will be individualized and hot stations will be attended with servers behind plexiglass. 

    • The Hyatt Regency is certified by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council in standards that prevent disease and COVID-19 spread

    • All hotel staff have undergone extensive training in the mitigation of COVID-19 spread per the standards of the CDC, WHO, GBAC and our own brand

    • Hotel staff are required to wear face coverings. 

    • High traffic and high touch areas are disinfected with hospital grade cleaning solutions continuously throughout operation. 

    • Hotel staff undergo well-being checks at every shift change, both guest facing and behind the scenes staff. 

    • Public spaces have been adjusted to accommodate proper social distancing

    • Several contactless options for check-in; food and beverage; housekeeping service are available.
