    Who can attend?
    This hackathon is open to anyone 18+ interested in having fun creating cool apps/projects with Watson.

    Is this event for programmers only?
    Developers are necessary, but anyone with a great idea, anyone that wants to give a hackathon a try, UX/UI designers, marketers/ biz dev people, entrepreneurs, etc. can join in and make meaningful contributions. But note that in general we have more spots for developers.

    How many people are on each team?
    1-5.

    How do you join a team?
    You can come solo and meet up with others to form a team at the event, or you can get your crew together beforehand and come as a team.

    What else do we need to bring?
    Definitely a laptop and any other devices/equipment to work on your project. Bring any dev tools that you use on your laptop or USB drive.

    Can we incorporate devices and hardware into our project?
    Certainly. IoT stuff, wearables, sensors, cameras, mobile devices, small robotics, or anything of a safe and reasonable nature is OK.

    Is there WiFi?
    Absolutely.

    How do we access Watson?
    We’ll help you access everything you need to utilize Watson services at the event, via Bluemix. You can learn more about what’s out there at ibm.com/watsondevelopercloud and AlchemyAPI.com.

    Is there a theme or any particular type of app we have to build?
    No. Create business applications, usability software, health oriented applications... whatever you want that incorporates Watson’s cognitive computing prowess. You can also use Alchemy and other API’s!

    Where is the hackathon being held?

    How do I get there?
    By Car – The venue is right next to the Ayalon Freeway, take exit “Rishon Lezion – Sderot Moshe Dayan West” and then take the first left towards Sderot Maryland and follow signs to the “Superland”
    Free Parking – There is a big and free parking lot just outside the venue, with ample parking space
    By Train – There is a train station 3km from the venue. The station name is “Rishon Lezion Moshe Dayan”, from there you can take a taxi to the venue, drive time from the station is around 5-10 minutes and the taxi should cost around 30 NIS

    What time does the hackathon start?
    Registration begins at 8:00AM, Wednesday June 10, with event kick-off at 9:30.

    Who owns the rights to what we create?
    You do. However, you must abide by any ownership, copyright, and TOS provisions of any API's or content you include in your project. We would, of course, like to capture and share some of the great ideas and concepts created.

    Are there any fees?
    No - it's completely free! But registration requires approval from the Watson team.

    What about food and drinks?
    We will have coffee and snacks all day, lunch at noon and pizzas at night!

    When will I know if my attendance was approved?
    About a week before the Hackathon.

    Is the hackathon related to DroidCon Tel Aviv?
    DroidCon Tel Aviv is co-located in the same time and venue, but the Hackathon is done on a separate room with separate entry - note that if you attend this event you cannot attend DroidCon, since there is 100% time overlap.
