#ELGLInspire at UT - Rio Grande Valley

#ELGLInspire events share information about careers with towns, cities, counties, and districts. Events in Texas are produced in partnership with the Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) network, the Texas City Management Association (TCMA), the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas (GFOAT), and the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association (TMHRA). All events are free for students to attend. The event includes three parts: first, students quickly learn from local government practitioners about the different jobs in local government. Then, students can visit with the speakers in breakout rooms. The event concludes with a panel discussion about finding a local government job or internship.
