The American College of Rheumatology has released an updated, comprehensive lupus nephritis (LN) practice guideline focused on enhancing the screening, monitoring and treatment of kidney involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The recommendations in this guideline support clinicians in achieving timely diagnosis, appropriate risk stratification and evidence-based management of LN to help prevent irreversible kidney damage and improve long-term outcomes for patients with SLE.
