Travis Lewis

Travis E. Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership and EdD Program Coordinator at East Carolina University. He holds an Ed.D. from East Carolina University in Educational Leadership, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MSA from East Carolina University. He has over 20 years of experience in K-12 education as a school counselor, school leader, and district administrator. His research interests include preparing school leaders to establish safe, trauma-sensitive learning environments; utilizing behavioral threat assessment and management teams for the prevention of school violence; incorporating the effective use of student support services and staff in principal preparation; and exploring effective pedagogical practices in graduate education for school leader preparation.
