NWI Data Facts Educational Open House
In proud partnership with the town of Merrillville
About the Event
As part of a broader initiative to inform the public about data centers and their role in local communities, the Town of Merrillville and the NWI Forum are hosting an educational open house designed to provide transparent, accurate information regarding data center development in the region and highlight the long-term economic and social impacts for the public. The program will include a presentation at explaining what data centers are, how they operate, and why they are becoming increasingly important to infrastructure, energy, workforce development, and economic growth. Afterwards, there will be a moderated panel discussion focused on industry insights, regional opportunities, and community impacts. Following the program, attendees will have the opportunity to visit informational booths and connect directly with industry professionals for more specific questions and one-on-one conversations. The event is designed to encourage informed discussion, community engagement, and a better understanding of the evolving digital infrastructure landscape in Northwest Indiana.
