About the Event
The event will be focussing on understanding the current situation on organic farming in Malaysia, taining and sharing ideas with rural communities in Ba’ Kelalan (Sarawak) on vegetable farming, emphasizing on organic farming so that the people in the city can practise urban farming and creating awareness on available organic products in Sarawak. The objective of this seminar are to increase organic farmers who can contribute to food security, environmental sustainability and promote healthy eating among communities in Sarawak, Malaysia. This is targeting both urban and rural communities. This project is also supported by Univerity Putra Malaysia (UPM), Department of Agriculture Sarawak (DoA), Forum Masyarakat Adat Dataran Tinggi Malaysia (FORMADAT) and WWF-Malaysia.
