Who Should Attend?
The Brave Education Summit - DFW is open to all LGBTQ + and allied corps members, alumni, staff, partners, community members and students.
Guiding Question:
How do we develop and mobilize LGBTQ + leaders and our allies in the movement for educational equity and empowerment for the kids and communities we serve?
Purpose of the Summit
The Brave Education Summit - DFW will drive the work of engaging educational advocates to focus on working with and serving the LGBTQ+ community. The Summit will serve to inspire and inform how we serve our LGBTQ+ students, as well as how we support each other.
Why Dallas?
Each year the summit location changes so that access to the summit will not be concentrated in a single region or community. Texas has always had strong representation at our Deep South Summit, and our regions there have some of the largest concentration of LGBTQ + and allied corps members and alumni, so it made sense to advocate for a summit in the Lone Star State. We are excited that Dallas will be hosting this year and look forward to learning from the LGBTQ + leaders in the local landscape!
