Important Walkshop Information
Manage your Walkshop registrations:
Make sure to review what Walkshops you have selected. You can update your selections in the app or on the web.
On the app: Click the Agenda tab on the bottom. Click "registered" at the top of that page, and you can see your Walkshops. Click the seat icon then unselect your ticket.
On the web: Go to the Agenda page. Make sure you are logged in using the email you registered for the conference with. You can view your registered sessions and sign up for Walkshops by clicking the seat icon.
Important: Please be sure to un-select your seat if you aren't able to attend the walkshop. This will open the spot up for someone else to attend.
Timing and Meet Up Details:
Walkshops will start and end at the conference venue, the Intercontinental. Meet up locations are listed on the agenda page and on posters in the venue. Walkshops will take place Wednesday May 8th from 3:00-5:30pm, Thursday May 9th from 3:00-5:30pm, and Friday May 10th from 9:00am-2:00pm. However, some Walkshops have slightly different start and end times, so be sure to read the details as described for your walkshops.
Important Information if you're biking or scootering:
Where to go: Bikes and scooters will be staged outside the hotel, in the parking lot, Chopin Plaza.
Helmets: Be sure to grab a helmet from one of the boxes placed on your way out of the conference venue, and return it after the Walkshop so people can use it the next day.
Waivers: If you are on a biking or scooter walkshop, you will not be able to join unless you have completed a waiver. Your leader will have waivers at the meet up location.
What to bring and wear:
The forecast is currently predicting high temperatures in the mid-80s. You should prioritize hydration and sun protection even more than usual. There will be snacks and water dispensers at the hotel. Be sure to bring your own reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. We recommend bringing a backpack to carry these and some snacks with you!
We also recommend you prioritize wearing active/outdoor clothing. Wear comfortable, closed toe walking shoes and clothing appropriate to your tour. You will have 30-40 minutes between the last session and the start of Walkshops to change if needed.
