Full travel support will be provided to successful undergraduate applicants. The travel grant will include the cost of registration and accommodations from July 15-19, 2024 (4 nights). If awarded, eligibility is contingent on giving an oral or poster presentation during the meeting. Applications are submitted through the same form as abstract submission.
INSTRUCTIONS
Abstract Submission
PRESENTER AND CO-AUTHORS
The first author serves as the primary presenting author and is expected to participate in the in-person meeting. Each first author may submit one oral abstract and one poster presentation. All co-authors should receive a copy of the abstract beforehand and be given the chance to offer feedback.
PRESENTATION TYPES
Please indicate your preferred presentation type when submitting your abstract. The Program Committee will assign abstracts to presentation types and sessions based on scientific merit, broader impacts, and topic. Our mission is to foster community cohesion and strive to provide visibility opportunities for students and early-career researchers; therefore, we will continue with the format without parallel sessions. This means that many submissions will be assigned to our extensive poster session. Last year, the poster session was a highlight of our meeting, featuring over 110 posters and over 10 exhibitors. Note that we strongly encourage participation in our poster session by attendees at all career levels.
RECOMMENDED TOPICS
Abstracts on any topic relevant to the broad research areas of LaserNetUS will be considered. At submission, authors will indicate whether the presentation is a research product or an awarded LaserNetUS experiment. Inline with our mission to develop the workforce of the future, the organizing committee will consider the career level of the presenting author when assigning the presentation type.
We particularly encourage posters on technical capabilities, diagnostic and detector development, characterization, and calibration, as well as new experimental or analytical techniques.
FORMATTING GUIDELINES
