Meeting Mentorship program
Last year, the DOE Office of Science funded a new program, called RENEW. Through this program undergraduate students from three Minority Serving Institutions (UC Merced, Florida A&M University, and Morehouse College) received support to perform research at the LaserNetUS facility nodes throughout the summer. We are excited to welcome these students and many others to the 2024 LaserNetUS Meeting!
To facilitate their attendance, we launched LaserNetUS Conference Mentorship program. This program pairs conference mentors with undergraduate attendees, who are attending a conference for the first time.
As part of the program:
2023 LaserNetUS Meeting Mentor Franziska Treffert with RENEW intern Ming Lu Chen (UC Merced, intern at Colorado State University)
