ABOUT THE EVENT
Join Us for the 45th General Council of The United Church of Canada!
In 2025, the United Church will convene its 45th General Council, a vital decision-making body that shapes our church’s mission and governance. This in-person gathering, with online participation options, will bring together 260 Commissioners from across Canada, reflecting diverse voices and perspectives. Under the theme “Visions and Dreams,” chosen by The Right Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, we will explore our collective future inspired by the spirit of prophecy and vision.

We Will Worship
We will ground our hearts and bodies in times of worshipping God together. Inspired by the words of the prophet Joel and the experience of the Spirit descending on Jesus’ disciples in Acts 2, worship will stir our imagination and dreams as we listen for God in this time and space.

Dine Around
Dine Around Calgary - Friday, August 8th (In-Person Only)
The GC45 Dine Around is a prix fix menu for delegates to experience the best of Calgary cuisine. All restaurants are located on Stephen Avenue, Calgary's main connector to arts, culture and commerce and only minutes from the Calgary Telus Convention Centre. Alcoholic beverages not included.
Since all of the restaurants for Dine Around are in Calgary, menu’s are written in English. If you need French translation assistance to help with your restaurant selection, please reach out to Stéphane Vermette at SVermette@egliseunie.ca and he would be happy to assist you.
