Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions, apply to any person, guest, registrant, student, speaker, vendor, sponsor, or exhibitor (“Participant”) who is present, whether in person, virtually, or by any other medium, at the 2025 ASPCA Cornell Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Conference (“Conference”). By attending the Conference, Participant will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Modification of Program
The ASPCA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to make any changes to the Conference program. Every effort will be made to keep presentations and speakers as represented. However, unforeseen circumstances may result in the substitution of one or more presentation topic(s) or speaker(s). The ASPCA is not liable for any losses that Participant alleges resulted from changes in program date, content, speakers, or venue.
Cancellation by Participant
Before July 1, 2025:
Participant may cancel their Conference registration before July 1, 2025. If Participant cancels their registration before July 1, 2025, and contacts the ASPCA at sheltermedconference@aspca.org requesting a refund, the Participant will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
On or After July 1, 2025:
Participant may cancel their Conference registration after July 1, 2025. If Participant cancels their registration on or after July 1, 2025 they will not receive any refund of their registration fee.
Cancellation of the Event by the ASPCA
The ASPCA may cancel the conference due to circumstances beyond the ASPCA’s control, including but not limited to, acts of God, public health emergency (including related to COVID-19), government order or regulation prohibiting inside gatherings, man-made disaster or other emergency, or any other circumstances which, in the ASPCA’s sole discretion, make it impracticable, inadvisable, illegal, or impossible for ASPCA to provide the facilities and/or services for Conference. Participant’s registration may be cancelled for any one or more of such reasons by emailed notice from the ASPCA to the Participant. In the event of any cancellation by the ASPCA, the ASPCA will not be held liable to Participant(s) for any damages, losses or costs incurred, including but not limited to transportation and accommodation costs. If no virtual version is offered, registration fees will be refunded in full.
Transition to a Virtual Format
The ASPCA may also, in its sole discretion, determine that it is unsafe, impracticable, inadvisable, illegal, or impossible to hold the event in person but that the event can continue in a virtual format. The virtual event may not include all activities, events, speakers or presentations scheduled for the in-person version of the event. The ASPCA may convert all in-person registrations to virtual registrations for any one or more of such reasons by emailed notice from the ASPCA to the Participant. The ASPCA agrees to automatically transition all in person registrations to virtual registrations if the event is to be held solely in a virtual format. In the event of a transition to a virtual format by the ASPCA, the ASPCA will not be held liable to Participant(s) for any damages, losses or costs incurred, including but not limited to transportation and accommodation costs.
Consent for the ASPCA to Use and Share Registrant Data
By providing your contact information, Participant agrees to receive general updates from the ASPCA as well as ASPCA communications related to jobs, company updates, and other related news. Registrant may unsubscribe at any time.
The ASPCA uses a third-party platform, Bizzabo, to host registration for the Conference. Bizzabo will have access to certain information about you, including your name, address and email address. Bizzabo protects this information, and only uses it in accordance with Bizzabo’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available on its website at: Bizzabo.com.
The ASPCA uses a third-party platform, Hubspot, to communicate with participants about the Conference. Hubspot will have access to certain information about you, including your name, address and email address. Hubspot protects this information, and only uses it in accordance with Hubspot’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available on its website at: hubspot.com.
The ASPCA may share your contact information with third-party sponsors of the Conference to the extent necessary for the operation of the Conference. You may opt out of having your information shared with these sponsors during registration.
